Raymond Reinhardt, Brillion Is Fatally Injured When Car Tire Blows Out

…Raymond Reinhardt, 23, native of this city and son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Reinhardt, Brillion, killed instantly when a tire blew out and his car skidded into a post on Highway 114, three miles south of Brillion, Sunday night…

Tire Blows Out
Raymond Reinhardt, 23-year-old Brillion youth, lost his life when a front tire on his car burst as he was proceeding to Chilton Sunday evening to visit an acquaintance. He was alone. The car swerved to one side of the road, struck a guard rail and power line post and nosed down into the ditch. Reinhardt was thrown from the car and under the front wheels. He sustained a fractured skull and broken neck and was dead when found by passing motorists. The body was brought to Brillion and the parents notified.

The deceased was born in this city December 7, 1910, and shortly after his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Reinhardt, moved to Brillion where Raymond attended grade and high school. He was graduated from the Brillion high school in 1929 and was prominent in athletics at the school. He was a member of the school basketball team. Finishing school he joined his father in the Reinhardt-Mueller hardware store and later enrolled at the vocational school in this city to take a course in plumbing.

Survivors are his parents and one sister, Mrs. Oliver Wordell of Brillion.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran church in Brillion with interment in Evergreen cemetery in this city.
