Henry Raymond Amos, 79, of Rocky Mount, died December 22, 2006. He was born February 8, 1927, to Alonzo Scott and Viola Eanes Amos. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. A retired tobacco farmer, he served as past president of Snow Creek Young Farmers. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Collins; and brothers, Jimmy and Howard Amos. Survivors include his wife, Thelma C. (Dutch) Amos; sons, Bill (Gwen) Amos, Buzz (Sandra) Amos; a daughter, Donna (Mark) Finney; seven grandchildren; sister, Shirley McFadden; brothers, Harold Amos and Norman Amos. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
