Her mother died when she was a child and she lived with her grandparents, later moving to Breckenridge to stay with an aunt and uncle. She lived in Fort Worth during the oil boom, returning to Breckenridge during the 1920s.
Mrs. Baker was a skilled musician and prominent Breckenridge piano teacher. She was elected Stephens County District Clerk from 1926-1934. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She married J.W. Baker in 1934. He preceded her in death.
