BRASHER FALLS - Paul E. Dumas died on Tuesday (1/30/1987) at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

He was born in the town of Brasher on Nov. 8, 1924, son of Frank Dumas and Jennie(Regina)LaFrancis Dumas.

He was married to Marguerite K. Niles Hourihan on 7/24/1964 at the Holy Cross Church in Hopkinton.

He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during World War II. On July 24, 1964, He had served as the superintendent of highways for the town of Brasher from 1961 until the time of his death.

Surviving was his wife; a stepson, Peter Hourihan of Potsdam; three stepdaughters, Nancy Silverhorn of Buffalo; Robin Gilbert of Bridgeport, NY; and Mrs. Rick (Lori) King of Waddington and nine step grandchildren; four brothers, Frances Dumas of Ellenburg, NY; Raymond Dumas of Longbranch, NJ; John Dumas of Stormville, NY and Gilbert of Potsdam; two sisters, Mrs. Frances (Cecelia) Donahue of Redhook, N.Y. and Mrs. Henry (Theresa) Monroe of Brasher Falls; three aunts; several nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Carl.

Burial was made in St. Lawrence Cemetery, North Lawrence.
