Mrs. Paul Handschke, 94, 2614 Elmwood Blvd, Wausau, died Sunday at a Woodruff hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Almond. The Rev. Jose will officiate. Burial will be in an Almond cemetery. Friends may call Thursday after 6 pm at Goult-Gasperic Funeral Home, Plainfield.
The former Nellie Schroeder was born October 4, 1879, in London, England, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schroeder. She came to the United States in 1882 and settled in Almond. On August 17, 1898, in Weyauwega, she married Paul F. Handschke, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry Myer, 2614 Elmwood Blvd, Wausau; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
