OBITURARY
MARGARET JANE VANDEVEER
Margaret Jane Vandeveer died at her home at Pine Sumit, May 11, 1893, aged 35 years, 6 months and 15 da. She was sick only a few days. She leaves three children; one a little babe only a few days old. Her funeral sermon was preached by Rev. T.C. Balch of Chadron Circuit May 12 at her home near Pine Summit. Her last hours were full of joy and faith in a merciful redeemer. Friends told me that they had never witnessed such a glorious triumph. It appeared to her as to Stephan; that the invisible world appeared and she knew she was going home. Skeptics would take from human beings, that which alone can flood the last hours with light and joy, and launch without faith and without hope. T.C. Balch
