Mrs. Leroy (Wanita) Gobis, age 57, died at her home on Sunday, December 31, 1978 after a long illness. She was born at West Point, IL on August 21,1921, the daughter of William H. and Anna Adair. Wanita Adair married LeRoy C. Gobis on June 27,1958 at Macomb, IL. Mrs. Gobis was employed as a Secretary at the Lake Windsor Country Club for 11 years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Daniel L. McMillan of Morris, IL; a daughter, Judith Ann Jenot of Carey, OH; and four grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters; Edith Turney of Qunicy, IL, Katherine Cromer of Macomb, IL, Margarite Melvin of Ft. Collins, CO, and Lois Dowdy of Garden Grove, CA; and two brothers, Frank and William Adair, both of Quincy, IL. Funeral services will be held at the Tuschen Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 1979 at 11:00 a.m. with Father J. Gibbs Clauder officiating. Burial is in the Sun Prairie Memory Garden.
