Carl Emmons Abraham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Abraham passed away on Friday morning, March 28 after a short illness at his home. Pneumonia was given as the cause of his death. He was born on Dec 17, 1895 on a farm in Franconia township six miles south of Lindstrom where he has always made his home. He operated this farm with his brother Erwin.
He was baptized into the Lutheran faith at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church t Center City. In 1910 he was confirmed by Rev John Sander at Trinity Lutheran Church and has remained a member there. He was also a member of the Modern Woodsman Lodge.
Mr. Abraham is survived by his mother Johanna Abraham, one brother Erwin and a sister Lou Ella on the home farm; Winnie (Mrs. Walter) Nelson, Esther (Mrs. Elliot) Nelson living near Shafer and Inez (Mrs. Clifford) Holt, May (Mrs. Raymond) Holmgren residing near Palmdale, his father Jacob Abraham and two sisters, Amy and Lillian preceded him in death.
Services were conducted at Trinity Church on Monday afternoon with the Rev. J. W. Kempe of Center City officiating. Mr. Alden Slattengren of Shafer was soloist and Mrs. Velma Sundberg at the organ. Pallbearers were Kermit Thalenhort, Walter Ogren, Walter Hall, Chester Nelson, Henry Hall and Lorentz Johnson. Burial was made at Fairview Cemetery
