The remains of Miss Amy Josephine Abraham age 37, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Abraham, residing six miles south of Lindstrom, were laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery Saturday following Funeral services held at 2 pm from Trinity Lutheran Church here.
Death came to Miss Abraham Tuesday, April 2 in the hospital at Duluth, MN after being taken there the day previous. Bronchial pneumonia was given as the cause of her demise. She had recently suffered from an attack of flu which left her heart in a weakened condition.
The deceased was born January 16, 1898 on the home farm south of here and received her early education and training in this community. She was baptized in the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church of Center City and later confirmed at Trinity Church, Lindstrom. After leaving home she worked in Minneapolis, later going to Duluth where she has lived during the past 11 years.
She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Abraham, 2 brothers and six sisters, namely Erwin and Carl Abraham of the home farm, Louella Nelson of Minneapolis, Lillian of the home farm, Mrs. Walter Nelson of Shafer, Mrs. Elliott Nelson of Lindstrom, Mrs. Clifford Holt of Center City and May Abraham of Minneapolis.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Henry Hall, Walter Hall, George Hall, Edwin Alm, Russell Jonason, and Theodore Gabrielson. Remains were laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.
