Pauly, Milfred J., age 86, of Chaska, died May 10 of congestive heart failure. Preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lena Pauly; sisters, LaVerne (Jack) Wenzel, and Dolores (Bud) Howe. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy; daughter, Sharon (Dave) Maetzold of Edina; son, Steve (Suzi) Pauly of Georgia; and brother, Arlan (Phyllis) Pauly of Chaska; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He grew up in St. Bonifacius and then Chaska. Milfred and Dorothy started Chaska Marine in 1960. Along with son, Steve, they built the family business into the largest volume Larson and Crestliner boat dealership in the U.S. Milfred was also one of the founding members of Chaska Lions Club. They spent summers at their Cedar Lake home in Aitkin, Minnesota, and winters outside McAllen, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday 10:30 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 West Second Street, Chaska. Visitation Monday, 4-8 PM, prayer service 7:30 PM at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 West Third Street, Chaska.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Abbott Heart Institute. Interment will be at the Moravian Cemetery in Chaska.

Milfred Pauly, 86, of Chaska, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Auburn Manor Nursing Home, Chaska.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Chaska, with Father Larry Johnson and Father Conran Schneider celebrating. Casket bearers were Robert Howe, Paul Howe, Patrick Wenzel, Mark Wenzel, Richard Pauly and Leo Rehmann. Interment was at the Moravian Cemetery, Chaska.

Milfred was born January 5, 1921, in St. Bonifacius to Joe and Lena (Bruhn) Pauly. Milfred was one of four children. On July 19, 1941, Milfred married Dorothy Moldenhauer at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. They had two children.

Milfred and Dorothy started Chaska Marine in 1960. Along with son, Steve, they built the family business into the largest volume Larson and Crestliner boat dealership in the U.S. Milfred was also one of the founding members of Chaska Lions Club.
