Services for Willie Massingill, 97, of 1514 Ellis Ave. are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ed Russell will officiate and burial will follow in the Glendale Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Gipson Funeral Home.
Mr. Massingill died Wednesday night after an extended illness. He was born in Angelina County, March 2, 1763 and had resided in this county all of his life.
