LORADELLE MASSINGILL LAWLIS, 96, born July 11, 1913 in Lufkin, Texas, died peacefully at her home in Conroe, Texas, on November, 28, 2009, with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, J.O. Lawlis, Sr., granddaughter Darla Ann Lawlis; parents W.J. and wife Exa Massingill, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by son James O. Lawlis, Jr. and wife Janette of Conroe; daughter LaRue Tipton of Conroe, grandson James O. Lawlis III and wife Betsy Hensley of The Woodlands, granddaughter Lori Lawlis and husband Tim Baldwin of Conroe, great-granddaughter Emily Lawlis of The Woodlands, Marilyn Lawlis Bryant of Conroe, the mother of her grandchildren and other family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.She worked with her family in the auction business for many years in Houston, Texas.She was a devoted Christian and member of Central Baptist Church, Livingston, Texas.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with interment to follow in our cemetery.
