Dorothy Witwer, 66, of Fountainview Nursing Home, Mishawaka, formerly of Osceola, died at 7:20 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. She was a seamstress at Kender's Manufacturing, Elkhart. She was born on Dec. 24, 1925 in Mishawaka, and lived in this area for three years, coming from St. Petersburg, Fla. Surviving are a daughter, Peggy Keefer of Three Oaks; two sons, Billy Keefer and Stephen Keefer, both of Galien; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and seven sisters, Virginia Sheneman, Betty Downey, and JoAnn Nunnally, all of Mishawaka, Mary Lou Barned of Sturgis, Nancy Bell and Isabelle Funk, both of Fontana, Calif, and Jackie O'Sullivan of Myrtle Creek, Ore. She was a member of American Legion Post 308.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday in Warner Funeral Home. Cremation will take place, with burial of ashes at a later date in South Union Cemetery, Elkhart."
