The following is quoted from a scrapbook, obituary clipping: The name and date of the newspaper are unknown - possibly from Randolph or Braintree, Vermont, dated about Friday, March 31, 1911, "Death of Mrs. Reuben Norman," (p. ?, col. ?).

Death of Mrs. Reuben Norman.
The whole community was shocked and saddened Wednesday morning, March 29, when it was learned that Mrs. Reuben Norman had passed away during the night, of hemorrhage of the brain.
Achsa Elvia Tyler was born in Malone, N. Y., July 27, 1852. She was married to Reuben Norman, Nov. 17, 1871. To them were born eight children--six daughters and two sons--all of whom are living.
They lived in New York and Bridport, Vt., before coming here, which was about 18 years ago, when they rented the V. I. Spear farm and lived there until five years ago, when they bought the house where they now live. Mrs. Norman has always been a hard working woman and besides doing her own work and caring for her sick ones she was always ready to respond to the call of her friends and neighbors and help them in any way in which she could.
For several years her health has not been very good but still she continued her work About a year ago, while helping move some furniture, she was struck on the head by a chiffonier and badly hurt, and this might have been a minor cause of her death.
It can well be said of her, "She hath done what she could; she hath looked well to the ways of her household; she hath gone to her reward and her children shall rise up and call her blessed." She united with the church here.
The funeral was held from the church Thursday afternoon, Rev. Fraser Metzger officiating.
Besides immediate family she left two own brothers, W. W. Tyler of Randolph and Wade Tyler of New York, who has been staying with Mrs. Norman this winter; an own sister, Mrs. James Morse of Appleton, Wis., and several half-brothers and sisters.
The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement, and especially the youngest daughter, Lena, who has been her mother's constant companion.
