Amanda Blickenstaff, 92, of
Seymour, died at Jackson County
Hospital, Seymour, at 6:06 p.m., Sat.,
Sept. 23, 1978. She had been ill several
months.
Born May 6, 1886 in Flora, she was
the daughter of James and Mary Hood.
She was married Aug. 15,1907 in Flora
to Nelson Blickenstaff, who died in 1966.
They moved to Jackson County in 1956.
She was a member of the New Hope
Church of the Brethren near Seymour.
Surviving are two sons, Harold of
Tucson, Ariz., and Paul of Lafayette;
two daughters, Mrs. M.A. (Lula) Cline
Old Greenwich Conn., and Mrs.
Nelson (Doris) Lewis of Seymour; 11
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Six brothers and one
sister preceded her in death.
Services were Wednesday at 10 a.m.
at the Burkhclder Chapel in Seymour
with Wilbur Norris officiating. Burial
was in Riverview Cemetery.
