Betty Pippin Almany, age 79, of Bristol, TN passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was retired from C&S Auto Parts in Bristol, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl H. and Marjorie Booher Pippin of Bristol.
Survivors include her beloved husband of more than 55 years, Henry Samuel (H.S.) Almany who is retired from Almany Plumbing and Bristol Asphalt Terminal; one son, Pete Almany and wife, Rhiannon of Birmingham, AL; one daughter, Beverly Jones and husband, George of Knoxville, TN; one sister, Gloria Legg and one brother, Carl H. Pippin, Jr. of Bristol, TN; two grandchildren, Bambi Rush of Bristol, TN and Buffy Allen of Sebring, FL; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Phipps officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday in Mountain View Cemetery. Akard Funeral Home
