Mr. Bridwater moved to Butler from Decatur 22 years ago. He was a signal maintenance man for the Wabash Railroad.
He was born in Moweaqua on Dec. 22, 1900, the son of Albert C. and Nellie Barber Bridgwater. He was a member of the Community Gospel Center at Butler.
He married Carrie Faye Bushway in Decatur on Oct. 18, 1923.
He leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Alice) Grunden of Decatur; and Mrs. Walter E. (Ruth) Wood of Grabill, Ind.; a brother, Milton Bridgwater of New Augusta, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. William H. (Winifred) Bohlen Sr. of Sturgis, Mo.; Mrs. Purl (Helen) Stephens of Shelbyville; Mrs. Wayne (Beryl) Rarick of Moweaqua; and five grandchildren.
