Obituary:

"The death occurred at Crampton very suddenly on Saturday morning of Elizabeth Parson, relict of the late Thomas Parson, in her 85th year. Deceased resided with her son-in-law, Edwin L. Gill, and when Mr. Gill left home about 10 o’clock in the morning to come to Ingersoll on business, he left her in her usual health and assisting with the housework. He had been in town but a short time when he received a telephone call to the effect that Mrs. Parson was dead. She had only been ill about fifteen minutes and the attending physician pronounced heart failure the cause of her death. The late Mrs. Parson had spent the major portion of her life in Dereham township, and was well known to a wide circle of friends, especially in the Verschoyle and Avon districts. She is survived by one son and three daughters as follows: Mrs. Trowhill [i.e. Anne Parson], Waterford, Ont.; Mrs. E. L. Gill [i.e. Mary Elizabeth Parson], North Dorchester; Mrs. Clarence Gill [i.e. Dora May Parson], Verschoyle; Mark in North Dorchester. The funeral will take place from the residence of her son-in-law, Edwin L. Gill, Crampton, on Monday, October 16, and proceed to St. Charles Church Concession 8, Dereham, for the service at three o’clock. Interment in St. Charles Cemetery. Services at the house at one o’clock."
