C. Gordon Jenkins, Sr., 76, died from complications from heart failure November 26, 2009. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Gordon and Lee Jenkins of Roswell, Ga., and his daughter and son-in-law Joyce and Mike Beadles of Dallas, Ga; grandchildren Kristi Beadles and Savannah and Scott Jenkins; sister-in-law Marguerite Fowler, of Powder Springs, Ga., and three nephews and one niece.
He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn Jenkins and grandson Matthew Beadles.
Mr. Jenkins was active in his church, County Line UMC, and served as a trustee. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He retired from Lockheed after 44 years of service.
Funeral services were held at County Line UMC with Rev. Katie Strals officiating. Interment was at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to County Line UMC, Matthew Beadles Memorial Scholarship fund.
