Services were held at the Verndale Methodist Church for George W. Adams who passed away on October 31, 1953, at the age of 78. Rev. Harvey Anderson conducted the last rite.

George Washington Adams was born on February 22, 1875, at Verndale, MN, the 12th of 14 children. He spent most of his life farming in the northern part of Wadena County. After retiring from the farm he lived in and around Verndale for several years until in February of 1953, when he was taken to the hospital in Fer­gus Falls where he died. All of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
He married in February of 1919 and four children survived: FERN ADAMS (Mrs. Lester Tappe) of Sebeka, MN; MELVIN ADAMS {just released from Service in 1953) also of Sebeka; and MYRTLE ADAMS and MARJORIE ADAMS cf Faribault, MN, and several nephews and nieces who lived in and around Verndale.
George is buried at the Verndale Green Lawn Cemetery.
