Anna Laurie Chaney, 81, of Haymarket, Virginia, formerly of Front Royal, Virginia, died on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the home of her daughter.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Pastor James Boyette. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Chaney was born November 16, 1929 in Linden, Virginia, daughter of the late Earnest and Mary Julia Williams Jarmans. She was the wife of the late Ray Wilbur Chaney.
Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Shifflett of Haymarket, Virginia; one son, Ray Daniel Chaney and wife Anita of Ruthers Glen, Virginia; four grandchildren, Ronnie and wife Trish, Tammy, Julia, and Danielle; and one great-grandson, Kyle.
Pallbearers will be Robert Pearson, Marcus Pearson, Jimmy Bergdorf, Billy Chapman, Ernie Olsen, and Ronnie Shifflett.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, two hours prior to the service at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
