Joseph Andrew Ruffing, age70, died at 11 o'clock this morning, Feb.28, 1942 at his home, 85 Orangevilles Streett, after an illness of three weeks.
Mr. Ruffing was born i Transfer, Pennsylvania, September 2, 1871, a son of John Margaret Meyer Ruffing, and had spent his entire life in Greenville.
On September 17, 1902 he married Rose Mehm, who survied him. Also surviving him are his hildren:
Mr. Ruffing was member of the B. & I.d Railroad Veterans Assocation, having retired in 1931 after having been employed 25 years as a blacksmith. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the church at 9'oclock, conducted by Father James J. Kearns, internement was at St. Michael's cemetery. The body was removed from the Loutzenhiser funeral home to his home,where his friends could call after 7 o'oclock that evening.
