John Eby Martin was the second generation of Martins to live and work on the Spring Isaac Martin Farm. He was the first of four generations to grow up, to die, and to be buried on this farm. John's name is one of the names on the date board of the old farmhouse. Like his father, he lived in one end of the farmhouse when his son took over the farm. John's brother-in-law, Jacob Stauffer, was founder of the Stauffer (Pike) Mennonite Church.
