Was the wife of Christian Martin, the first Martin to move to the Spring Isaac Martin Homestead, in 1796. She was the first of 6 Martin wives to begin housekeeping in the homestead farmhouse that was built be previous owners (David Davis). She had 8 children who all grew up to become members of the Mennonite Church, and all lived on adjoining farms except one who lived not far away. When her husband died 8 years before she did, she continued to live in the farmhouse. Her husband had secured lifetime rights to part of the farmhouse and other things, for himself and his wife.
