Emojean B. Kelley was born November 7, 1931 to Rob and Sue Baker in Woodville, Texas. She attended elementary school in Emilee and Woodville. She graduated from Kirby High School in Woodville and attended and graduated from Baylor University in 1954 with a B.A. Degree in Education and Art. She taught school in Waco, La Marque, Deer Park, H.I.S.D. and Spring Branch. Emojean married John H. Kelley of Mineola, TX in 1956. The couple lived in Germany for two years during John's service in the Army. The couple traveled Europe extensively during this time. They returned to Houston in 1957 and have lived in Houston since. Jean and John Kelley have three children; Karmen, Shaun and Shannon; two daughter-in-laws, Mary Lou and Jami and four granddaughters, Shayla, McKenna, Skyla and Emma. Emojean was very devoted to her family. They were the love of her life. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011, 6-8 pm at Forest Park Westheimer. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011, 2 pm in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer. Interment will follow.
