Joseph Fennel was the brother of Dempsey Fennel, Michael Fennel, Stephen Fennel, Mary Fennel, Sarah Fennel, and Lovicy(Lovely) Fennel (All mentioned in the June 19, 1835 Will of Henry Fennel, Barnwell District, South Carolina). Joseph Fennel married Emiley(Miley) Susannah Harvey (Born Ca 1815/1820-Died After 1880 Census), daughter of William and Nancy Harvey (William Harvey, Barnwell District, South Carolina, Will of 1835). Joseph Fennel and Emiley(Miley) Susannah Harvey/Fennel were the parents of (1) James Seth Fennel (Born July 28, 1836 South Carolina-Died December 5, 1887 South Carolina), (2) Joseph Washington Fennel (Born 1839 South Carolina-Died 1896 South Carolina), (3) Laura Ann Fennel/Allen (Born December 24, 1844 South Carolina-Died July 25, 1917 South Carolina)/(Mrs. James M.
