1889 she traveled to Rhode Island where she entered the State Training School for Nurses, graduating in 1891. She became matron of Springfield, Massachusetts Hospital, where she did good service for over 2 years, then returned home for a much needed rest.
1897 she entered the Toronto Woman's Medical College graduating in 1902.
1903 she organized Sunday School at S.S.#7 Cedarville School
she was then sent to Mahoba,India by the Christian Woman's Board of Missions where she applied her medical training.
She spent the next 11 years there until her death in 1914, where she is buried in a very impressive memorial.
