Elmer John Bohl, a native of Colorado West and resident of Grand Junction for 12 years, died at 1 p.m. Thursday of a heart attack while working on the I-70 construction near Mack. He was 50.

Mr. Bohl, who had worked for the Colorado Dept. of Highways for 26 years, was born Aug 8, 1921, at Montrose. He spent his childhood and graduated from high school in Montrose. He married Dorothy Moon, Dec. 24, 1946, at Montrose. She survives. The Bohls moved to Grand Junction in 1960.

Mr. Bohl's interests included hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Congregational Church, Masonic Lodge 55 AF an AM and the Royal Arch Masons Sunshine Chapter OES.

He was also a US Army World War II serving in the European theater.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, John Bohl of Montrose; two daughters, Marilyn Bohl of Montrose and Mrs. Ernest Delk of Grand Junction; his mother, Mrs. Katherine Bohl of Montrose; a sister, Mrs. Francis Morgan of Grand Junction and one grandchild.
