Charles H. Zutz, 79, of 117 Center St., Brillion, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion. The Rev. Arden Stuebs will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Zutz was born Oct. 8, 1887, at Red Lake Falls, Minn., son of the late Charles and Pauline Draeger Zutz. He married Hattie Schwalbe Sept. 25, 1912.

Mr. Zutz was a cheesemaker and a salesman for Curtiss Candy Co. before retiring in 1954.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Harvey, of Manitowoc and Carl, of Madison, a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Mae) Froh, of Brillion, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Helm, of Red Lake Falls and Mrs. Mathilda Busse, of Duluth, two brothers, Arnold and Louis, of Red Lake Falls and 10 grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
