Etta Sarah Livengood Beachy, 78, Grantsville, Maryland, died November 14, 1950, at Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Born February 21, 1877, the daughter of Simon and Araminta Livengood. Married July 23, 1896 to Joel A. Beachy. Six years of their early life were spent pioneering on a homestead in South Dakota, where Forest, Walter and Irvin were born. Returned to home purchased by Mr. Beachy's father in 1862, one mile west of Grantsville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children; Forest, Vernon, John, of Grantsville; Walter and Irvin, of Wilkinsburg; Roy, of Salisbury; Mrs. Dewey Bittinger, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Herbert Beckett, Brecksville, Ohio; Mrs. Robert Ross, Wilkinsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Raymond Rosenberger, Grantsville; 28 grandchildren and 10 great, grandchildren.
Also surviving the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Irvin Engle, Warren, Ohio; Mrs. Lloyd F. Engle, Meyersdale, Pa.; Mrs. John H. Folk, Grantsville; Mrs. Clarence Wisseman, Wilkinsburg, Pa.; Harvey and Hobart Livengood, Rockwood, Pa.; and Samuel Livengood, of St. Paul, Pa.
Mrs. Beachy was a member of the Grantsville Evangelical and Reformed Church, oldest member of the Women's Guild, a charter member of the Grantsville Community club, (now the Homemaker's club.)
Funeral services were held Friday, in the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church. Rev. George K. Ely, of Baltimore, officiated, assisted by Rev. Ira Monn, of Salisbury, Pa., and Rev. Carl H. Clapp, Cumberland. Pallbearers were six grandsons: Kenneth Beachy, Robert Beachy, Cpl. William Beachy, Carl Beachy, Walter Beachy, Jr. and Neil Bittinger. Interment was in Grantsville cemetery.

Mrs. J. A. Beachy, of near Grantsville, who died in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, on Tuesday, will be held Friday from the Grantsville Evangelical and Reformed church, with Rev. Carl H. Clapp, pastor of St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed church, Cumberland, officiating. Burial will be in the Grantsville cemetery.
