Abigale James Paine is a daughter of John James and Esther Denison and was a native of Connecticut.
She was married in March 26, 1801 in Wood County, (West) Virginia to David Paine,Jr. a native of Massachusetts.
She is a sister of Major John James who was one of the pioneers at the Scioto Salt Works, and was the founder of a family which is now numerous in Jackson County, Ohio.
She is the mother of

Abigail James Paine was laid to rest in Paine Cemetery first and moved in 1903 to Ridgewood Cemetery by granddaughter Julia Bundy Foraker and others in the family.
