David Paine, Jr is a son of David Paine, Sr and Abigail Shepherd. He was a native of Massachusetts.
He was married in 1801 to Abigail James, a native of Connecticut. She was a sister of Major John James who was one of the pioneers at the Scioto Salt Works, and was the founder of a family which is now numerous in this county(Jackson County, Ohio).

Gravesite Details

David Paine was laid to rest in Paine Cemetery first and moved in 1903 to Ridgewood Cemetery by granddaughter Julia Bundy Foraker and others in the family.
