ESCONDIDO - Eugene Morrisette, 79, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation
Born May 29, 1922, in Plummer, Minn., he lived in Escondido for 56 years.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service as a AO1 first class. He retired from CCP after 25 years.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3795.
Mr. Morrisette was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Katie Morrisette.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Arabelle Morrisette of Escondido; sons and daughter-in-law Robert and Georgeanne Morrisette of St. Paul, Minn., and David Morrisette of Escondido; daughter Gayle Morrisette of San Jose; brother and sister-in-law Edward and Alice Morrisette of Bemidji, Minn.; sisters and brothers-in-law Doris Asselin of Thief River Falls, Minn., Dorothy Bolin of International Falls, Minn., Beulah Peterson of Bemidji, Isabelle Gribbon of Detroit, Luella and Frank Yelle of Covina and Marie and Dale Steve of Bemidji; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Church of the Resurrection, 1445 Conway Drive with the Rev. Kenneth Del Priore officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
