Richard "Dick" Muegge, age 83, of Greenfield, passed away on August 13, 2011, in Greenfield. Born on November 2, 1927, in Indianapolis, he was the son of William and Susan (Careheuser) Muegge. Dick married Barbara Dailey on July 25, 1953, in Greenfield. He worked at Greenfield Water and Sewer in the maintenance department for over 20 years before retiring in 2003. He had also previously worked at Best Ever as a milk delivery man for over 25 years. He was a member of the Greenfield American Legion and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dick was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving him are his wife, Barbara (Dailey) Muegge of Greenfield; children, Terry Kay Muegge-Siegel of Castleton and Mark Alan Muegge of Fort Stockton, Texas; siblings, Charles (Maxine) Muegge of Greenfield and Frederick (Beverly) Muegge of Charlottesville; granddaughters, Hannah and Allison Siegel; and a great-grandson, Cameron Siegel. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Albert, Bob, and Carl Muegge; and a sister, Margaret Lasley.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, August 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
