Mrs. Barlow was born to Robert L. and Sarah Ann Bright Rout. United in marriage to William P. Barlow June 4, 1879 in Kentucky. He died on May 15, 1898. The family moved to Lawrence County about 60 years ago, and had lived near and in Lawrenceport. She belonged to the Fishing Creek Christian Church in Bono township.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. C. N. Bennyhoff, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Mrs. Anna Montgomery, and Mrs. Mary Turley both of Lawrenceport; three sons, Robert L. and Basil Barlow both of North Vernon and Wayne T. of Seymour, a brother Louis Rout of Stuttgart, Arkansas and a sister, Mrs. Kate Bright of Vinita, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Three sons, Henry, Price and W.K. Barlow preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at the Lawrenceport Methodist Church with the Rev. Leland Plew, pastor of the Mitchell First Christian Church and Rev. W. J. Lamar, pastor of the Lawrenceport Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in he Tunnelton Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Haverly Mortuary.
