In checking for an obit the following information was found.
Mrs. Sarah Cook, 95, died Thursday afternoon with the funeral service held on Sunday afternoon. Burial was in Prospect Hill cemetery. Sarah Frances Winscot was born Aug. 9, 1857 in Kentucky the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winscot. She moved to Plattsmouth as a child with her parents. She married Phillip Cook and they had 5 sons and 5 daughters born to them. She was survived by Mrs. Andrew Mattsson of Norfolk, Mrs. Minnie Wenke of Casper, Forrest of Los Angeles, CA., George of Hadar, Bert of Norfolk, 25 grandchildren, a number of great and great-great-grandchildren, and 1 brother Asa Winscot of El Dorado, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 12, 1937, 3 daughters: Mary, Annetty and Mrs. William Wenke, and 2 sons: John and Adam Cook. Married Phillip Cook December 24. 1874.
They were in the Plattsmouth, Nebraska area at the time of their marriage.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winscot. Survivors were listed as daughters Mrs. Andrew Mattsson of Norfolk, and Mrs. Minnie Wenke of Casper. Three sons George of Hadar, Nebraska and Bert of Norfolk, Nebraska. 25 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. Also one brother Asa Winscot of El Dorado, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 12, 1937; 3 daughters Mary, Annetty and Mrs. William Wenke; 2 sons John and Adam Cook. Pallbearers were grandchildren: Raymond Cook of Omaha; and Wilson Wenke, Virgil, Eugene, Dwight and Lowell Cook, all of Norfolk, Nebraska. She died on Thursday afternoon Nov. 13, 1952 and funeral services were held on Sunday Nov. 16, 1952.
