Born May 1, 1881 at Mynard, he was the son of Phillip and Sarah Cook. He lived in western Nebraska for many years before retuning to Weeping Water in 1944. He had farmed most of his life.
He was married to Ella Philpot, February 22, 1905 at Weeping Water. Mr. Cook attended the Congregational church at Weeping Water.
Surviving are his wife, Ella; sons, Dwight of Nehawka, Ralph of Tryon, Roy of Weeping Water, Merle of Fremont; daughters, Dorothy of Denver, CO and Alberta of Boulder, CO; and nine grandchildren.
Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Sarah Cook of Norfolk; brothers, George of Hadar, Bert of Norfolk, Forrest of Los Angeles, CA; and sisters, Minnie Wenke of Casper, WY, and Eva Matteson of Norfolk.
