JEANNETTE REWERTS

Visitation for Jeannette M. Rewerts, 82, of Manteno, will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno. Father Al Heidecke will officiate.

Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno. She died Wednesday (Aug. 10, 2011) at her home.

Mrs. Rewerts was a homemaker and the mother of 11 children. She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Kankakee, the daughter of Edward and Victorine Pommier Francouer. Her husband, Glen Rewerts Sr., whom she married Oct. 15, 1949, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, died April 26, 2008. She loved going to church.

Surviving are five sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Dr. Bronia Rewerts, of Manteno, Randall and Pat Rewerts, of Bourbonnais, Gary and Lisa Rewerts, and Dr. Glen Jr. and Tara Rewerts, all of Kankakee, and Jerry and Diane Rewerts, of Manteno; five daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Dr. Greg Zoltani, of Steilacoom, Wash., Glennette and Kevin Randles, of Kankakee, Jeannine and Dr. Richard Wegner, of Limestone, Nina and Roger Koerner Jr., and Annette and Dr. Ron Kurzejka, all of Kankakee; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Blanche and Louis Sebastiani, of Kankakee, Isabelle Martin, of Bradley, Toddy and Norman Schroeder, of California; and one brother and two sisters-in-law, Ivan and Lois Francouer, and Jeannette Francouer, all of Kankakee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Theresa; three brothers, Roger, Lloyd and Shirley; and three sisters, Rachel Hubb, Melba Jackett and Vanita White.
