Margaret Logan Thompson was born in Washington county, Pa., on December 15, 1812, and died at the home of her daughter Mrs Mary E. Shearer, in 1911, where she have lived the past 14 years. She was 98 years and 11 months old. Was married to John Thompson, February 5, 1835. She came to Iowa in the spring of 1857 and settled at Vandalia. She was the mother of nine children, five with her husband have preceded her in death. The surviving children are; Mrs Mary Elizabeth Shearer of Prairie City, Mrs Josephine Dowd of Carroll, A. J. Thompson of Hanford, California, and H T Thompson of Boise, Id.
