Charles Alphonse Anderson was born July 13, 1893 in Shafer Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E Anderson. He was baptized August 20, 1893 and confirmed in Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City on June 7, 1908.
On April 13, 1918 he married Ida Johnson of Franconia and together they lived on a farm east of Shafer until lately.
He was preceded in death by his sister (Hulda), Mrs. David Mattson of St Paul who passed away last summer and two brothers, Oliver who died several years ago and George who passed away in 1907.
He is survived by his wife Ida Johnson Anderson and one brother Albin of Chisago City with whom he has lived in recent months. Since an operation last June he has not felt too well, but had been up and about finding his place in church until only recently when it had been difficult for him to be out. He was taken to St Croix Hospital last Tuesday, March 19, and passed away there on Thursday, March 21st, 1957 at 6:00 am at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 8 days.
Following the service here, Sunday, Mar 24 interment was in the Chisago Lake Lutheran Cemetery/
Pastor W Burdett Benson officiated at the service and Mrs. Kermit Christensen was soloist with Mr. Glen Lovestrand at the organ.
The pallbearers were Charles Linnell, Douglas Linnell, Burton Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Lloyd Anderson and Vincent Anderson.
