Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, Il. on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the service hour.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the Richview United Methodist Church in Richview, Il., on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Brett Yates officiating and interment in the Ashley City Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post #110.

Memorials: Should friend's desire memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mr. Homer Louis Arment of Nashville, Il., formerly of Ashley, Il., departed this life at the Washington County Hospital Extended Care wing, in Nashville, Il. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 9:00 A.M. He had attained the age of 87 years, 10 months and 26 days.

Mr. Arment was born on May 30, 1919 at Elmer, Mo. the son of Joseph and Leota (Wooden) Arment.

He was united in marriage to Lorene Sherman on October 18, 1942 at St. Louis, Mo. and she preceded him in death on July 14, 1998.

He later married Pauline Ackerson on August 20,1999 at Richview, Il. and she survives his passing.

Homer was a member of the United States Navy, serving in World War II aboard the U.S.S. LaGrange as an oil boss. He later worked on the railroad as a crain operator until his retirement. He was a member of the Richview United Methodist Church in Richview, Il.. He served on the Ashley City Council and held an Ashley Township office. He enjoyed meeting with the LaGrange Reunion Club every year.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Pauline Arment of Nashville, Il., 3 sons, Homer Loren Arment and wife Joyce Sue of Pflugerville, Tx., Richard L. Arment and his fiancée Debra of Smyrna, Tn., and Brent D. Arment and wife Fran of Ashley, Il., a step- daughter, Mary Klein and her husband Kevin of California, a brother, Robert Arment of Bon Terre, Mo., 2 sisters, JoAnn Hongsermeier of Richview, Il. and Eula Perkins of Quincy, Il., 4 grandchildren, Tammy Light, Justin Arment, Sara Combs and Jonathan Arment, 3 great grandchildren, Zeke and Lucas Light and Hannah Arment, nieces, nephews, other relations and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Lorene Arment, a brother, Happy Arment and 2 sisters, Frances Edland and Willma Ryburn.
