Clarence Feltman Died at Home Here
Clarence Feltman, 76, a resident of Fort Benton since 1900, or some 55 years, died at his home here Friday after an illness extending over the past 4-1/2 years. Mr. Feltman had been an invalid for most of that time.
He was born June 14, 1879, at Etna, Missouri, spending his early life there before coming to Chouteau county and Montana in 1900. He was a farmer and stockman by occupation, and was a member of the Fort Benton I.O.O.F.
May 14, 1908, Mr. Feltman married Alta Dye at Memphis, Missouri, and Mrs. Feltman, with two sons, Clarence Bain Feltman of Fort Benton Jerrold Feltman of Columbus, Nebraska, survive him. There are six grandchildren, and a brother, Ed Feltman, of Fort Benton, and two sisters, Mrs. Grover Dye of Arbela, Missouri, and Mrs. Bessie Blatner of Wyaconda, Missouri.
Funeral services were held from the Benton Funeral Home chapel here Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., with Rev. Charles E. Stunell, of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
