Alice Louise White was born January 17, 1863 at Jacksonville, Mississippi. She moved to Texas at the age of four years, with her parents. She married James Marion Stephenson in 1880. He preceded her in death in 1935. Mrs. Stephenson lived in and near Cheyenne for the past 38 years. Converted at the age of 15 years she lived a true Christian life. She died at her home near Cheyenne February 19, 1940.
She leaves to mourn her going, 4 sons and 4 daughters, John, Virgil and Ernest Stephenson, all near Cheyenne, and Jim Stephenson of Gilbert, Arizona, Ida McDaniel and Lola Bowman of Cheyenne, Florence Barbard of Bristow, Oklahoma and Nancy Niece of Foss, Oklahoma. She also leaves 32 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death, Flora Stephenson and Julia Ballenger.
