Mildred Jane Talley, daughter of Morton and Mary Jane (White) Talley, was born 8 April 1854 in Tennessee. She was married 22 March 1880 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to Robert W. Whitfield. They had four children:

4. Homer Clyde Whitfield
Mildred Jane (Talley) Whitfield died 24 March 1932 of liver cancer.
