Last rites were conducted for Aaron Mathew Rankin, prominent Pine Grove community farmer, Sunday from Sharon Presbyterian Church with Rev. Slonaker officiating, assisted by Rev. Hooker. Interment was in Sharon cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Rankin died last Thursday after a long illness. He was fifty-one years of age and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Orville Rankin of Magee and Marlin Rankin of U. S. Army; three daughters, Mrs. Elma [sic] Ryan of Eau Claire, Wis., Mrs. Charles Bobo of Biloxi, Miss Fay Rankin of Magee; four grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Rankin of Jackson, Lamar Rankin of Magee; two sisters, Mrs. John Meadows of Magee, Mrs. Z. B. McAlpin of Mize.
