According to her death certificate (MS-DC 31-19921) Annette Everette's full name was Claudie Annette Rankin Everette. She was born in Simpson County and was "killed in cyclone" in Magee, Simpson Co., MS.
Annette died in a tornado that cut a path through Simpson Co, MS in 1931. She was running to a storm shelter carrying her four-year-old child, Betty Marie. She died when a tree limb hit her across her neck. With her was her sister and brother-in-law, Pearl Rankin McAlpin and Zollie Bill McAlpin. Her husband, Anse, was in Louisiana. (Shared by omcnair)
