Daughter of Henry George Curtis & Rachael Morris of Boones Creek, Washington Co, TN who were pioneers just NW of Jonesboro or West of Johnson City. Wife of George W. Ford. Mother of 9. The Curtis family goes back to early pioneers before it was the State of Franklin. The OLD Curtis families were active in the community and well respected & loved. They Migrated, are Related & Buried with many respected and noted people. Our Curtis are not so famous, but unsung builders of our communities. Visit ESTU in Johnson City, TN 3rd floor "Appalachian Archives".

NOTE: Visit BOTH Kinnick & Longmire Cemeteries off Princeton Rd in Johnson City, Washington Co, TN as thy are close to one another; a 1/2 mile or so of each other. George W Ford 1846-1923 is noted on FAG in Longmire Cemetery per Death Certificate and another GW Ford 1828-1909 on FAG in Kinnick Cemetery. Mary is noted in Kinnick near this other GW Ford.

SOURCES: Grave, Family Related, Census Records, Marriage Licence, Husband George's Death Certificate & Burial site in Longmire. And an OLDER G W Ford of 1828-1909 Burial Row 10, Grave 7, Mary is buried Row 12 Grave 11.

CORRECTION: 3/16/2016 by Gordon Edwards:
The Longmire Cemetery and the Kinnick Cemetery are one and the same and located adjacent to King Electrical on Princeton Road. Earlier data from the Charles Bennett volume 1 show them separate, however research done by the Cemetery Survey Team has confirmed just one location. No graves were ever moved. F-A-G shows them separate, also in error. The Row 10, grave 7 burial is George Washington Fulmer, not G W Ford. Thank you, Gordon (CSTNET)
