Marie Fay Hendrix, 90, of McCurtain, OK passed away August 10, 2011, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born July 30, 1921, in Bokoshe, OK, to Elisha Elbert and Clara Angeline (McCullar) Whitfield.

She was a seamstress and housewife. Marie was a member of the McCurtain Eastern Star for thirty years, and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bokoshe for more than seventy years. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma and friend to everyone. Marie will be greatly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Otto A. Hendrix, two brothers, Donald Whitfield and Leonard Whitefield.

Surviving her is two sons and daughter-in-laws; a daughter; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers and their wives; one sister and husband; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be men from her church.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, Bokoshe, OK, with Bro. Jerry Turner officiating.

Interment will follow service at Milton Cemetery, Milton, OK. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.

Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
