--- Thomas Stricker, 21 years old, a farmer and Miss Geneva Hopwood, 17, who had the consent of her father, Benjamin Hopwood of Otisco, were married here yesterday by the Rev. Frank E. Andrews.

SOUTHERN INDIANA DEATHS

OTISCO -- Geneva Hopwood Stricker, 85, of Fry Road, died Tuesday at North Clark Community Hospital in Charlestown. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Charlestown.

Survivors: her husband, Thomas J. Stricker; five sons, Roy Stricker of Charlestown, Jesse Stricker of Scottsburg, Wayne Stricker of Louisville, Harry and Clarence Stricker, both of Marysville; four daughters, Janet Lynch of National City, Calif., Grace Huckleberry of Port Angeles, Wash., Freida Chesser of Scottsburg and Joyce Baird of New Albany; four brothers, Calvin Hopwood of Clinton, Okla., Homer Hopwood of Tucson, Ariz., James Hopwood of Lexington, Ky., and Henry Hopwood of Butlerville;three sisters, Mabel Foltz of Kokomo, Esther Richey of Marion and Mary Beck of Sellersburg; 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and agreat-grandchild.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday, Grayson New Washington Funeral Home. Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery, New Washington. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday.

Biography

Geneva Maude Hopwood was the daughter of Benjamin Milton Hopwood and Hannah Magdalene Clegg. She married Thomas Jesse Stricker on October 21, 1922 in Clark Co, IN.
