Doris F. Reynolds, 81, of 217 E. 22nd St. died at 10:38 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001 at the Beverly Rehabilitation Center.

She had been in ill health for the past 16 months and a resident at the rehabilitation center for the past 10 months.

She was born March 11, 1920 at Fleming, Mo., to Frank and Charlotte Roseboom Umphenour.

She attended school at Girard and the Kansas State Teachers College.

She had lived in the Pittsburg area most of her life.

She worked at the Joplin Holiday Inn and later for the Arma Elevator Company for many years.

Membership was held in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society and the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW.

Survivors include one niece, Paula Baker of Joplin; two nephews, Joseph Rodney Carter of Shawnee Mission and John Leslie Carter of Frontenac; all of whom were raised in the home; one brother, Stan Umphenour of Mindenmines, Mo.; one sister, Chrystal Dennis of Frontenac; and several additional nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Stroot as celebrant.

Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery.

The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Brenner Mortuary Chapel, where the family will receive friends following the rosary until 8 p.m.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. today.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. Fourth St.
